Life Lab @ SLEC

I visited LifeLab @ Singapore Labour Foundation ElderCare (SLEC), an experiential learning space designed to deepen understanding of the ageing process. During the visit, I engaged in hands-on simulations and interactive exhibits that highlighted the physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges faced by older adults.

This experience helped me gain a deeper sense of empathy and awareness — not just of the healthcare and support systems required, but of the dignity, patience, and respect needed when interacting with seniors. It also reinforced the importance of designing inclusive environments and services that empower older adults to live well and age meaningfully.

Through LifeLab, I developed a more human-centered perspective on geriatric care, social inclusion, and community responsibility.
